Mr Bean with his red nose for the special charity event
Red nose day is a really original idea that I loved. Its slogan is: Do Something Funny for Money. It was introduced in 1988, two years after the charity was set up, and has continued ever since. The idea was to raise awareness of the charity by having people walk round with big red noses on their faces. This year, it is the 25th anniversary of the Red Nose Day. And thius time again, British people are gearing up to put on their Noses, pull out all the stops, and get fundraising. The money collected whether at school, at work or at home will be used to help people across the UK and Africa improve their lives…
Comic Relief, the charity that conducts Red Nose Day and which makes most of its fundraising through this event
In the UK, the contributions help give shelter to young people living on the streets and protect those suffering from domestic violence. In Africa, the money raised saves thousands of people from malaria and provides whole communities with fresh water and life-saving vaccines.

You can still participate in this big fundraising event by clicking on this link. Remember that you will have lots of fun and at the same time help others. So if you have some spare time tomorrow do not hesitate in joining this incredible journey and for once do something for someone you might never meet, someone you don’t know but someone who still needs your support.
So today, from 7pm, on BBC One, it’s the big one: the night of Red Nose Day TV. Full of sketches and general hilarity, make sure you don’t miss out!! You can still buy a red nose from all the Sainsbury’s and Oxfam shops for only £1 😉 Let’s all have a red nose tomorrow!
